The Hills Are Alive!
September 2023 Ministry Update
I can now officially say our speaking ministry has become international! In September, Estelle and I traveled to Lustenau, Austria to speak for two nights at the Church of the Redeemer. This was an incredible experience. We often heard that in Austria, faith is something most people don’t share openly. Many people consider their faith a personal matter and find it difficult to evangelize.
One of the things that I emphasized was the need to be fearless and bold. This message resonated deeply with the people of the parish. I sensed a deep desire to see a revival and transformation of their city by the power of God. These people (led by an amazing priest named Fr. Thomas) have invested themselves in spreading the faith through frequent Adoration and a daily Rosary. Estelle and I were so honored to have spent time there. However, the most encouraging part of this experience happened a couple of weeks after we returned home.
I received a message from one of the young people in the parish who said, “Since you were here, we, especially the youth, are very motivated and inspired! We are about to start a youth group with 5 or 6 members, and our goal is to grow big, like you said…from 12 to 300, I guess. Everybody in our group is talking all the time about you and what you said…So, just thank you very much!”
Whenever I speak in a parish or event, I aim to make an impact that lasts beyond the time I am there. Sometimes, I never hear anything more, and other times, I see some lasting fruit. It’s such an honor to imagine a youth group across the world reaching people for the faith and transforming their city with the Gospel. This happens as a result of your support. Estelle and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The fruits of this ministry are shared by all of us together who sacrifice and pray to make it happen. Thank you for being a part of this.
